    General Information

    Who wins - probably?

Childhood fun and fun with higher mathematics: excitingly, Galtoni allows both. Do you know anything about probability distribution? You don't have to. Does the name Francis Galton mean anything to you? No? Oh, that doesn't matter. Just briefly: To illustrate the normal distribution (Gaussian distribution), the natural scientist Francis Galton developed the so-called Galton board. And on the basis of the Galton board this game was designed: Which path does the ball thrown in at the top take along the evenly distributed obstacles? Governs here the luck or mathematics or ... both?

Well, and now try it out: Rather centrally or better throw in sideways, right or left rolling past the obstacle - possibly you succeed by cleverly considered throw in one of the upper shafts that your marbles end up forming a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row of four. For what appears to one as pure luck, is the other mathematically based strategy.

But above all, it is an exciting challenge that just children enthusiastically and persistently follow when their marbles quickly and audibly clack through the paths of the solid beech wood game board. The dynamics of the game can always be varied: The game board forms an inclined plane, the inclination of which can be adjusted with the help of a round bar. Despite all the playful speed, worries about the board and marbles are completely unfounded: The board is made of solid oiled beech wood, tracks and obstacles are precisely placed and milled out to fit - and the solid glass marbles clack persistently cheerful zigzag through their path.

And if you finally actually succeeded in dropping your marbles to a row of four - well, then maybe you deal with the mysteries of probability distribution after all. But you don't have to. You can just continue to have a good time.

Not suitable for children under 3 years. Risk of suffocation due to small parts that can be swallowed.
