General Information
In search of a handy and visually and haptically convincing storage for good writing instruments, we did not find and therefore took action. This stylus box - two-tiered, hinged and with locking sliding lid - we have made in the Ore Mountains from hand-picked, hard Elsbeerholz, a wood that has proven its suitability in the construction of woodwind instruments and precision slide rules enough.

Why the pencil box has let the case and pencil case buy so much of its edge is not quite clear to us, and if you suspect pure defiance as one of the motives for resurrecting it, you are not entirely wrong. On the other hand, it has lost nothing in terms of functionality and, in its most tried-and-tested form - two-story, hinged and with a locking sliding lid - it is one of those gems of craftsmanship whose disappearance is lamented everywhere (and explicitly here). We therefore also expose ourselves to the suspicion of exaggeration and let him, unlike his raw beech wood predecessors, in an Erzgebirge two-man operation from the (hand-picked and expensive) wood of the Elsbeere make and meticulously reworked.

Matt, clear-varnished wild service tree wood. Three compartments (20, 14.5 and 4.5 cm long) in the upper level which is 2.7 cm high and one compartment in the lower 1.8 cm high level. L 26 x h 5 x w 4.5 cm. Weight 250 g. Delivered without utensils.

We do not really understand why various versions of pencil cases are so much preferred to pencil boxes. And you are not at all wrong when you think the motive for its re-production is pure contrariness. On the other hand, it still has the same functionality as before and, with its two levels, the possibility to be flipped open and the locking sliding lid, from the carpentries and construction side, it is a handcraft treasure, the disappearance of which is claimed allover (and explicitly is done here). Therefore, we also expose ourselves to the risk of suspected exaggeration and, contrary to its beechwood predecessors, have it made of (hand-selected and expensive) wild service tree wood and accurately finished.
