Planter oak wood
Craftsmanship from the Palatinate Forest.
Tubs like the following made of oak wood we know mainly from the representative context of castle gardens, parks and orangeries. They are used there mainly for horticultural reasons, as the temperature-balancing properties of the wood protect the plants in the transitional seasons better than vessels made of ceramic could. Our oak wood tubs are composed of individual staves that are "dressed" and glued together in the artisan cooperage tradition. Steel barrel hoops give additional support to the robust overall construction. The fact that the vats are fully fired from the inside contributes to their longevity, as this provides them with special protection against rotting. Sturdy stainless steel box handles facilitate transport, and a water drainage hole in the bottom prevents waterlogging. Thus equipped, our oak planters are guaranteed to cut a fine figure on your terrace and in your (winter) garden. Incidentally, the manufacturer in Bad Dürkheim obtains the raw material from sustainable forestry in the Palatinate forest - nachbarschaftflicher hardly goes.
The bucket should be filled directly with soil and planted. If it is equipped with a plant container, make sure that the space between the bucket and container is filled with soil and kept constantly moist. To prevent rotting due to constant wetness from below, do not place the bucket directly on the soil!
If placed on the terrace, please note that oak wood can secrete tannic acid.
