    General Information

Giardino di Boboli. Green freshness from Florence

The Giardino di Boboli, located behind the Palazzo Pitti, the Medici's main residence, is one of the largest and most elegant "Italian gardens". The extensive, terraced park with its geometrically designed green spaces, rich tree population, cypress avenues and arcades invites you to linger, stroll and wander. Ugolini's Eau de Parfum is inspired by the Boboli Gardens - both elaborately and successfully composed, it reflects its green diversity. The multi-layered fragrance begins with green notes and picks up on the floral elements of the park in the heart note. It is supported by a warm, woody base. It is a lively, fresh, floral, green fragrance with powdery hints that is suitable for both men and women with its apple-like notes.

The top note starts with clear green notes and spicy geranium, followed by fruity, fresh apple notes and spicy mint. In the heart note, iris with its powdery floral character builds a bridge to rose and jasmine, which are flanked by ozone notes as a symbol of the fresh air in the park. Musk, powdery aromas and various woods in the base, interwoven with amber, round off the composition by perfumer Christian Carbonnel. Giardino di Boboli is part of Roberto Ugolini's extrait collection: the formulas work with very high concentrations of fragrance oils, which is why the perfumes are very intense and long-lasting.

Roberto Ugolini. Haute perfumery from Florence

Roberto Ugolini stands for the art of shoemaking at the highest level. In his Florentine atelier, he creates bespoke shoes by hand that are characterized first and foremost by their outstanding craftsmanship. But Ugolini's love of detail and his special sense of aesthetics have also helped the sometimes spectacular shoes to achieve worldwide renown. So how did the shoemaker come to perfume? Well, first the perfumer came to the shoemaker: Herbert Stricker, a perfume distributor (and a man with very large feet), has had shoes made by Ugolini for a long time. Over time, the business relationship developed into a friendship. The two of them share a passion for craftsmanship, a love of fine materials and quality - and perfume. This gave rise to the idea of their own brand, which the two put into action and fragrance in 2018. It was important to them to reflect the unique connection between Florence and craftsmanship, leather, wood and fragrance. The colors for the bottles and packaging are taken from the Florentine cityscape with its orange-colored facades. The penchant for detail is reflected in the genuine leather label, which comes from Ugolini's workshop and bears his company logo. The leather also stands for the original idea of creating a pure leather line. Fortunately, the duo decided against this, as it would have limited the range of fragrances too much. The brand now includes fragrances that could not be more different. The names of the fragrances refer to places in the city of Florence, such as Giardino di Boboli, as well as shoe shapes, such as Oxford and loafer - the first fragrances by Roberto Ugolini.

Fragranze Uniche. Unique fragrances made in Italy

The high quality of so-called manufactory fragrances is their unusually high concentration of fragrance oils; Roberto Ugolini's perfumes also contain 30 to 35 percent of the best fragrance oils. In order to maintain their outstanding quality and the clear directions of the individual compositions, Roberto Ugolini only releases one new fragrance a year, two at most. They are created by selected perfumers, whose names are always printed on the packaging - which is rather unusual in the industry. Production in small batches is also not a matter of course, but is characteristic of fragrance manufacturers. Ugolini's perfumes are produced entirely in Italy, including the bottles, the bakelite caps and even the packaging. The fragrances are bottled in a small family business near Bologna. Many steps are carried out by hand, from applying the leather label to polishing the flacons and caps to packaging.
