Nature offers a wide range of medicinal plants, whose potent essences and essential oils humans have known how to use for millennia. The ways to use them are as varied as the plants themselves: as pure essences, teas, ointments, or pastes. When added to a sauna infusion, essential oils can release their intense aroma particularly well and, depending on the combination of oils, have either a stimulating or calming effect. Oskari Berlin uses only naturally pure essential oils for its sauna infusions. The fragrance combinations of the individual infusions are based on the principles of aromatherapy, thereby further enhancing the soothing effects of the essential oils. This sauna set includes three sauna concentrates for restorative and relaxing sauna infusions and a variety of aromatic experiences.

With essential oils of herbaceous and spicy sage, warm, woody cedar, and spicy, fresh, forest-like spruce, the “Pure Relaxation” infusion invites you to unwind and let your mind wander—ideal for your first sauna session. “Black Forest” has an intensely aromatic scent of coniferous forest. With essential oils of cypress, cedar, fir, and grapefruit, this forest scent refreshes and invigorates all the senses and lifts your spirits, while allowing your body and mind to relax as if you were taking a walk in the woods. “Löyly” is an authentic Finnish sauna infusion—a truly special fragrance experience featuring resinous, balsamic incense, sweet, warm vanilla, and fruity, woody juniper. In Finnish, the burst of steam that occurs when water is poured over the hot stones of the sauna stove is called “löyly” (= “breath of embers”). Incidentally, this does not increase sweating; rather, it is the water vapor condensing on the skin that creates this sensation.

To use, mix two to five capfuls of the sauna infusion concentrate with one liter of water, depending on your personal preference. Alternatively, add a small amount of sauna infusion directly to the sauna ladle filled with water.
