Solid oak wood from local, sustainably managed forests is carefully rod-glued, sanded smooth and finally oiled. The design is such that the projection of the foot corresponds to the length of the tabletop - creating a filigree-looking, yet very solid shelf that retains its stability even under one-sided load. Because you know: life without a side table is possible, but uncomfortable. No sooner has a person taken a seat on the sofa or armchair, he notices the lack of a stable shelf. On the lap, the shelf prevents any change in the sitting position, the floor, in turn, is too low, the adjacent shelf too high.

Only a shelf at a conveniently accessible sitting height efficiently meets the need - and in the case of oak side tables, provides two additional functionalities: The overhanging design of the tabletop is ideal for use as a work surface, as the table can be pulled so close that the top overhangs the seat, allowing laptop & co. to be conveniently operated.
