Made like the big ones, this small broom is a veritable household tool for adults and children alike. With a length of 75 cm, it is located between hand brush and street broom and is ideal for sweeping up crumbs and leaves on the balcony and terrace in between. Children can use it to sweep leaves or snow, if they want to follow in the footsteps of the grown-ups.
The body of untreated birch wood is covered with strong, durable bassine for this purpose - the leaf vein fibers of the Palmyra palm. The hard, wet-strength fibers are particularly suitable for making street brooms. Here they are issued at an angle on the sides, so that they also get into small corners and joints.

The small broom is manufactured by the Swedish brush manufacturer Iris Hantverk, in whose workshop also people with visual impairments work. Brush making is traditionally a branch of work where people with visual impairment and even blind people can be trained. Thus, Iris Hantverk also originated at the beginning of the 20th century as a company founded by the Swedish Association of the Blind and lives on in this tradition to this day: craftsmen with visual impairment in Sweden and Estonia still equip the brushes entirely by hand.
