The squirrel, which is actually a native forest dweller, is increasingly found in parks and public green spaces as a synanthropic species. In many places, however, the (urban) tree population is no longer sufficient to ensure a year-round food supply. At least during the winter months, it can even be a matter of survival for these clever animals to find a supplementary food source in our gardens. For this purpose, we offer a squirrel feeding station that you can mount on a house wall, a tree trunk, or a wooden post. In response to numerous requests from our customers—and for the sake of the squirrels—we have commissioned an improvement to this model. To eliminate any risk of injury, the plexiglass panel that reveals the nutritious contents of the feeder is now also framed at the top. Additionally, the perching area at the front is slightly more spacious than on the previous model. Crafted from naturally durable larch wood, this optimized version of our squirrel feeding station comes from one of our long-standing partner workshops in the Münsterland region. By the way, don’t worry: the birds and mice in your garden won’t be able to pry open the solid lid—but the clever squirrels certainly will.
