The name says it all. With the Ranger, you'll have the essential tools already in your pocket for all your outdoor activities - even a saw to cut off branches and twigs when there's a campfire at the campground.
The multi-part equipment of this bulky pocket knife with a large lock blade offers numerous functions: in addition to the aforementioned wood saw, a reamer, a can opener with a small screwdriver, a bottle opener with another screwdriver, as well as a wire stripper and a corkscrew.
The blade mechanism is locked and unlocked via a push button - typical for the cutlers in central Switzerland: with the Swiss cross emblem. With the ergonomically shaped scales made of regional walnut wood, this pocket knife lies comfortably in the hand.
Original from Victorinox. Swiss knife.
The pocket knife with the signal red handle scales has helped the Swiss knife forge Victorinox to lasting world fame. When Karl Elsener (the great-grandfather of the current company owner) opened his forge workshop in Ibach-Schwyz, the idea of designing a compact knife that could boast many practical functions beyond the blade and could be easily carried in a pocket was considered nothing short of revolutionary. That was in 1884, and seven years later Elsener founded the Association of Swiss Master Cutlers and delivered the first pocket knives to the army. Early on, he had the characteristic emblem with the Swiss cross and shield protected by law. It is still today the identifying mark for Victorinox knives.
