These dish towels are sturdy, highly absorbent, and just as cheerfully colorful and checkered as their larger “Grubentuch” counterparts. They owe their durability to the sturdy half-twist quality of the terry cloth (yarn count in the warp and loop warp: Nm 24/2; in the weft: Nm 16) and can therefore withstand frequent rinsing, washing—or drying—equally well. Although we call them dish towels—and they do that job really well—they’re also perfect as small guest towels or mini towels for the office, workshop, gazebo, or car. That’s why we offer these practical terry cloth towels in a set of three.

The Grub dishcloths are woven from yarn scraps, so each cloth has a different color combination. We can neither specify nor predict which color combination your dishcloth set will have—let it be a surprise! By the way, upcycling yarn scraps isn’t a new concept: Weaving mills have always used them to make terry cloth towels and similar items in order to process the large quantities of leftover yarn in a wide variety of colors. This is also what creates the diverse color combinations, which turn out differently every time.
