This jacket, with a double processed hood, is extremely comfortable to wear and is especially well suited for the summer holidays; with warm weather there is nothing encumbering about it. The neck ring consists of a knitted, tricoloured band; the wide cuffs are doubled and made of terry cloth.

Terry cloth material is voluminous and soft; it warms thoroughly. It is also, as is the case with this particular fabric, air-permeable and comfortably climatizing, because the material – thanks to its surface increased by looped yarn – absorbs a lot of moisture. Characteristic of terry cloth is that it is produced with so-called fancy yarns; the yarn is twined numerous times. This yarn generates the loops typical of this material. In this way, the fuzzy, firm surface of the material arises. The designation "terry cloth" (Frotté) has French origins; "frotter" means "to rub(away)." This refers to the more common use of the material, for example, in hand towels and bathrobes.

"Armor" is the Breton word for the sea, and "lux" can only mean the light on the coast. In any case, many of the garments produced by Armor lux still have a maritime character today - sweaters and shirts, dresses, pants, hats, caps and scarves. Founded by a Swiss man in Quimper at the end of the 1930s, the company combines simple, comfortable cuts, classic colors and uncompromising quality in terms of materials and workmanship. Production largely takes place at the company's headquarters in France. For us, Armor lux uses organic certified cotton.
