The Giese company in the Sauerland region develops and manufactures items for bathroom fittings that are anything but mass-produced. Production has been taking place at the company site in Iserlohn since 1885, many work steps are still carried out by hand and the necessary tools are even built in-house. This enables the manufactory to deliver only flawless, tested items, to implement in-house developments directly on site and to fulfill individual customer requests. This results in products that are beyond reproach in terms of quality and workmanship.

The material used is crucial to the quality of the products: Giese uses solid brass for the bathroom items in this range, which is either given a solid chrome finish or powder-coated in matt black. The brass is also nickel-plated under the chrome layer. Whether you opt for the classic shiny chrome-plated finish or the robust powder-coated finish per se: You can be sure that these things will last. Above all, they will not rust. They are manufactured in Germany, France, Spain and Italy - with a copper content of approx. 58 percent (± 1%).

Everything is chrome-plated these days: the thinnest steel sheets, die-cast zinc and even plastic. You can usually tell by the weight. However, chrome plating is often poor and inadequate. You notice it - usually too late - when the wafer-thin layer of chrome peels off after a few weeks and the metal underneath starts to rust or react. (There are chrome-plated steel appliances on which, for example, a natural sponge will turn brown within a few days). Under the chrome layer of our Giese appliances, however, is solid and additionally nickel-plated brass. So you can be sure that these items are durable and will not rust.
