Tree protection mat spruce wood

Put them round a tender young tree trunk, and you will protect it not only from gnawing rabbits and clawing cats, but from other less predictable blows – from clumsy lawn-mowers for example. Our protective mantle or ‘mat’, as we call it, is made of untreated pine stakes from Austria and a better choice, we’d say, than the usual wire or plastic variety.
Pinewood, thickness of material 6 mm, stainless steel wire. Height 100 cm, length 52 cm (trunks up to 15 cm in diameter). Weight 1.2 kg.
