Tree Trunk Bird Nesting Box

General Information
Natural Habitat. Nesting Aid.
The simplest way to construct a nesting aid is the one that is closest to nature. A floor is attached to the bottom of a hollowed out birch log with its bark intact. A roof made of the same material is fastened on top with simple wooden dowels. The top can be removed to clean the nesting box. Some birds will prefer this arrangement to an "artificial" nest box. This nesting aid may afford better protection from predators for the brood than other lodgings; it hangs rather inconspicuously in a tree, and the bark fits the surroundings.
Please note:
In appearance and size no one birchwood nesting aid will resemble another. The picture shown here is therefore exemplary.
