A good half of the yarn is made from alpaca hair in Fibra Superior quality, one of the highest quality levels with the finest and softest hair. The rest is skin-friendly, long-staple Pima cotton from controlled organic cultivation. The wide turn-up increases the warmth function and thanks to the wide, loose ribs, the hat adapts perfectly to the shape of the head.

On the western tip of the Breton peninsula lies the department of Finistère, whose name—dating back to Roman times—means “the end of the earth.” For the Bretons, however, it is “Penn ar Bed,” the beginning of the world—an interpretation that far better suits the Quimper-based brand “Les Racines du Ciel,” founded by Nathalie Goyette and Christian Tournafol. The brand’s origins lie in the fact that, since 2005, the two have been designing elegant, feminine, and timeless women’s fashion with the highest quality standards. Production takes place in artisanal workshops in Portugal.
