General Information

Gottstein. All-Natural Slippers.

Gottstein in Imst is a traditional Tyrolean company that has been renowned for woollens and felt goods of the highest quality since 1926. In all production stages, the intensive examination of the product is essential for the third-generation family business, starting with the felting process. Gottstein uses crystal-clear Tyrolean mountain water when painstakingly matting, condensing and pressing the wool – without any additives – to form a resistant felt mesh. The slippers, precisely shaped to the anatomy of the human foot, feature upper parts made from felt and, depending on the model, a sole made of leather or natural latex. Gottstein chooses rich leather that becomes even more beautiful when worn. Natural latex, easy to shape and very durable, is elastic and water-repellent, yet breathable. Gottstein has the latex outsoles made in a patented process by a long-standing latex specialist. The result is first-class slippers that are a pleasure to wear – and for a long time.
