Vegan oilcloth

These organic cotton oilcloths offer a double alternative, because instead of beeswax they are coated with a mixture of sunflower wax, spruce resin and coconut oil. So they replace not only cling film and aluminum foil, but also beeswax cloths, if you want to do without animal products altogether. The vegan oilcloths protect food - whether it's fruit, vegetables, or the lunch break - like a second bowl, while allowing the food to breathe and stay fresh and crisp longer. You can also use the oilcloth to cover bowls, dishes, plates and bottles in the fridge or pantry. To do this, place it in the center, stretch the cloth and use the heat of the hands to create adhesion to the edge of the vessel.

The vegan oilcloths can be reused as often as you like and are easy to clean. Light stains can be removed with cold water and a little dishwashing detergent, stubborn incrustations you can carefully scrape off with the back of a knife. If some mold has formed on the surface, clean this area and treat it with vinegar. If the textile is affected, however, you should dispose of the oilcloth. Since it is 100% natural, it can theoretically just go to the compost. Because already during the production - all steps are done by hand - attention is paid to the quality of the purely natural ingredients. The cotton used, for example, comes from controlled organic cultivation (GOTS-certified) and is not bleached, and the fairly traded coconut oil from the Philippines is also of organic quality. The spruce resin comes from sustainable cultivation in France. But it's much more practical to use the discarded oilcloth as a sustainable grill lighter instead of disposing of it in the compost. Due to its content of oil, fat and resin works great.
