Against voles one can hardly resist. And yet there is a simple procedure that has been proven to keep the burrowing pest away in the long term: place a wire mesh basket in the planting hole when planting. The basket should protrude above the soil surface and, once the plant is in place and the hole is filled with soil, is compressed toward the plant so that no rodent can reach the roots from above either.
In our vole basket, the wire mesh is galvanized and will perform its protective function over a long period of time.

There is a simple, proven method to keep at bay the gnawing nuisance: placing a wire basket in the ground when planting.
