A light and airy bath poncho made of textured, sturdy waffle piqué. In the (summer) sauna, it replaces a thick bathrobe; at the beach, it keeps you warm after swimming; it’s perfect for heading to the beach café; and it offers unrestricted freedom of movement for playing a round of volleyball or quickly changing clothes underneath. This is comfortably possible because the beach poncho is very generously sized and open at the sides. As a result, it also works well as a large bath towel or hand towel. It owes its very high absorbency and quick-drying properties to the special blend of Lyocell, linen, and cotton. This, combined with its light weight, makes it the perfect travel companion.

Due to the waffle piqué weave, the outer edges of the fabric appear longer because the weave indents in the middle. This effect becomes more pronounced after the first wash, and the waffle texture stands out even more clearly. The neckline is piped and retains its shape.

For the waffle piqué, the Finnish weavers at Lapuan Kankurit have adopted an innovation from Austria: Lyocell (TENCEL™). This cellulose fiber is characterized by high strength and a very smooth, hypoallergenic surface. Above all, however, Lyocell has an exceptionally high capacity for moisture absorption: thanks to its fiber structure, it absorbs moisture very quickly into the fiber core and releases it just as quickly back into the environment.A waffle piqué that combines the properties of Lyocell, linen, and cotton is the perfect material, especially for towels: The Lyocell optimizes absorbency, the sturdy linen yarn ensures durability and longevity, the cotton content provides the fabric’s soft feel—and the weave itself creates a gentle massaging effect when drying. The beautiful heathered tone results from the combination of white (bleached) Lyocell and cotton yarns and natural-colored (undyed) linen.
