Vienna soap variety for skin and hair. For every purpose the right
The Wiener Seifen are designed for cleaning skin and hair, this they do gently and thoroughly. For different skin types with individual needs, supporting ingredients are added to the Wiener Seifen such as healing clay, hops and salt, burdock root oil or frankincense. A real jack-of-all-trades at Wiener Seifen is the salt soap - it can even be used for brushing teeth. A note on switching from regular shampoos to washing your hair with soap: hair often needs a week or two to get used to the new care - rinses with vinegar or lemon water help with the transition. We recommend them after each hair wash with the Wiener Seifen.
Cold Process. Soaps Made of Coconut Oil.
The soap manufactory Wiener Seifenmanufaktur produces soaps on a pure plant basis in a cold process. Although the term suggests otherwise, the cold process does not work completely without heat. However, the heat is not supplied from the outside, but arises naturally during the saponification process when Lye encouters oil - in the case of the Viennese soaps, the well-foaming and particularly compatible coconut oil is used. Thanks to this gentle, but also labor-intensive process, up to 15% of vegetable oils remain unsaponified and can develop their nourishing effect on the skin and hair. Additionally, the cold process makes sure that the moisturizing glycerin remains in the soap. Natural oils, plant extracts and fragrance essences, mainly from certified organic farming, enrich the soaps.
A Clean Performance. Wiener Seifenmanufaktur.
Formerly the soaps of soap maker Friedrich Weiss were the last handcrafted soaps in Vienna. Under the brand name "Stadlauer" the soaps made of coconut oil had many fans and not only the Viennese were enthusiastic about the fine lather. Although Weiss died unexpectedly in 2006, his intellectual heritage continued to live. Sonja Baldauf, who had originally planned to sell the Viennese soaps in Switzerland, worked together with a longtime employee of the soap mill to do everything possible to keep the ideas, demands and formulations of Weiss alive under the name of Wiener Seifenmanufaktur.
Today, the Wiener Seifenmanufaktur is a family business again: Baldauf's life partner is now - after a late training as soap boiler - solely responsible for the production. Some types of soap were taken over from Weiss. Meanwhile, many more are self-developed and constantly new ones are added to the range of the Wiener Seifenmanufaktur.
