Ecoalf crafts the water-repellent, windproof, and durable coat fabric from 100% recycled polyamide. The fabric’s surface is waxed, which further enhances its weather resistance and gives the jacket its characteristic, slightly crinkled “ Used ” look. Thanks to its relaxed fit, the trench coat offers plenty of freedom of movement, which is further enhanced by the long back slit—making it ideal for wearing while cycling. It fastens with snaps and features two snap-closure side pockets. The cuffs can be adjusted to two different widths.

Lightweight. Thermal vest made from recycled polyester

This long vest, quilted in a diagonal check pattern, is made entirely of recycled polyester—both the outer fabric and the filling—making it weather-resistant, pleasantly lightweight, and yet very warm. And thanks to its extra-long cut, it reliably protects the sensitive kidney and buttock areas from the cold. The roomy hood keeps out rain, wind, and drafts. Two side pockets hold small everyday items. The two-way zipper provides greater flexibility while walking, biking, and sitting.

The Spaniard Javier Goyeneche has found a personal way to counter the waste of raw materials in our throwaway society – with creative ideas. In 2012, his label started producing fashion from recycled fibres. Then he initiated the revolutionary Ecoalf Ocean Project: More than 3,000 fishermen along the Spanish coast enlisted to help recover plastic waste from the sea. Goyeneche has the residues transformed into high-quality yarns for clothes, shoes and accessories. A similar project started in Thailand in 2017. Recycling all-natural textile fibres, namely cotton and wool, is another objective on Ecoalfs to-do list. Finally, the label mastered the challenge of finding new uses for old car tyres.
