The purist design with a clear cut gives this coat its character. The material used makes it very comfortable to wear. The outer fabric is made from a fuller's wool fabric that is both pleasant to the touch and soft to the touch. Lanius uses warming, temperature-regulating virgin wool from certified organic animal husbandry and skin-friendly, certified organic cotton. The knitted fabric is milled in an elaborate finishing process under the influence of heat, moisture and friction. This makes it denser and therefore warmer. Nevertheless - and this is the difference between milled knits and milled fabrics - it remains breathable and very elastic. The lining is made from pure viscose, which makes it easy to put on and take off and ensures even greater breathability. The coat is concealed buttoned - with real horn press studs - and has a stand-up collar and two side pockets set into the seam. In short: a timelessly beautiful, comfortable favorite that can be combined in a variety of ways - with both elegant and casual outfits.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
