For the former, the weft threads anchored in the base fabric are cut open and "sheared" into voluminous velour. The loops of the terry fabric ensure an enlarged surface and therefore greater absorbency. The result is a 450 gsm cotton fabric made from organically grown cotton, which is used to make this comfortable and cozy house and bathrobe in Portugal.
