The Marlene—a timeless classic in the fashion world. And quite rightly so, in our opinion. After all, it’s incredibly flattering, as its wide, straight leg creates a flowing silhouette that flatters every figure. It’s also incredibly versatile and pairs well with both elegant and casual outfits. This style from Lanius features a classic design: subtle pinstripes and pressed creases in the front and back. What’s not quite classic is the material used. It’s made of pure wool that’s 100 percent recycled. The fiber is woven into a dense, durable fabric that not only provides excellent warmth but is also temperature-regulating and breathable. A partial lining made of pure viscose that extends to the knee makes it easier to put on and take off and ensures a pleasantly smooth feel against the skin. The Marlene pants fasten with a zipper, a hook, and an inner button. A side pocket and a blind back pocket round out the design.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
