Warm and lightweight. Made from recycled polyester

The outer fabric, lining, and filling are made entirely of recycled polyester, making the coat windproof and water-repellent. At the same time, it provides cozy warmth, is breathable, and, despite its calf-length cut, is a true lightweight. The warm padding stays in place thanks to the checkered quilting. The generous hood fastens at the neck with two snaps, providing even better protection against wind and weather. The two-way zipper and the side slits with four snaps ensure maximum freedom of movement—even during athletic activities like cycling or hiking. Two hand pockets with snaps and an inside pocket provide space for a wallet, smartphone, keys, and more. Another thoughtful detail on the inside are the shoulder straps, which allow the winter coat to be carried comfortably like a backpack should the weather unexpectedly clear up.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
