The body of these clogs is made of linden wood, which is light yet strong. The upper leather, a vegetable-tanned suede leather from cattle, is nailed to the wood. A leather strap protects the cut edge of the upper leather. The lining leather is also a vegetable-tanned, soft smooth leather from cattle. The outsole is made of grippy rubber. Astorflex’s origins date back to the 19th century. Today, the future of Astorflex lies in the hands of Fabio Travenzoli, who consistently prioritizes high-quality materials in production. First-class Italian leather is used for the upper, sourced primarily from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are usually made of soft calfskin, vegetable-tanned in a solution of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are primarily made of natural rubber, and water-based adhesives are used.
