Wool Felt Slipper
Molded on the last
The upper as well as the insole of this slipper are made of 5 mm thick pure wool felt and are sewn together. After sewing, the felt slipper is pulled onto a last and adjusted in an immersion bath followed by pressure treatment, in this way it gets an excellent fit. A cork-latex footbed with a molded toe grip and a ball heel provides good support; combined with the EVA plastic outsole, comfortable and safe walking is guaranteed. The felt is made in Germany, and European cowhide is used for the leather trim on the upper.
Real felt. Unrivaled
The fulling of wool into felt preceded spinning and weaving as a cultural technique. Remained so to this day, for good reason. Genuine fulling felts made of cattle hair and sheep's wool, and especially genuine wool felts made of pure wool, provide climate control, making them comfortable to wear in both cold and warm weather. Felt is therefore the ideal slipper material: the foot does not sweat or burn in it, and it does not cool down even on cold floors.
High-Calibre Slippers by Haflinger.
Haflinger slippers have a good reputation because they combine practical function, a well-thought-out design, and qualified professionals' best processing. Haflinger consistently relies on natural materials – fulled virgin wool, wool felts, leather and cork-latex footbeds – and traditional shoemaking handicrafts. The result is slippers that you can, indeed, feel at home in.
