Large-format shawl made of pure wool measuring 90 × 90 centimetres and measuring just under one square meter. The very light fabric is loosely woven in a plain weave, which gives the colorful check weave pattern a fine wavy structure and a slight transparency. Two sides are finished with selvedges, while the other two sides are finished with narrow fringed edges.

Martine and Jacques Bijvoet are behind the Moismont label, which is based in Picardy, France. With their fashion, the two are committed to authenticity, traditions and values. It is therefore not surprising that their scarves and stoles, garments and bags combine French textile design and traditional Indian weaving. After all, the original scarf (which we understand to be worn more like a stole) once found its way from the Indian subcontinent to Europe. And this shawl culture is still very much alive in India today: Yarn dyeing, weaving and printing techniques are passed down from generation to generation there - in three carefully differentiated professions, each of which possesses and guards its own unique know-how.
