In 1991, the Nomos watch brand was reestablished in Glashütte - and it quickly made a name for itself. From the very beginning, the designs for Nomos Glashütte were inspired by the ideas of the Deutscher Werkbund: Watches should make quality affordable through the use of modern means of production and, through good design, decouple the life of the products from fashion and contemporary taste. At the same time, the influence of the Bauhaus was and is unmistakable: "Form follows function."
