In these hand-picked Brazil nuts from the Bolivian Amazon rainforest, a balanced solution of pure spring water and Croatian sea salt gently starts the germination process. In the process, bitter substances are gently washed out. In combination with the gentle drying at a maximum of 65 ° C, the taste is thus perfected.
Delicious nut creations: 2DiE4
Since 2012, nut creations have been created in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps that are unparalleled - under the name 2DiE4. The abbreviation stands for the English phrase "to die for", which describes that something is so irresistible that you could die for it (figuratively speaking). With 2DiE4, this name literally says it all. On the one hand, this is due to the selected ingredients. All nuts have raw food quality and come from organic cultivation in traditional growing areas. They are harvested gently and opened without heat. The farmers are known personally, as are their plantations and the quality of the nuts. The sea salt used comes from Croatia and Brittany, the water comes from the farm's own spring.
Activated: for full enjoyment
The enjoyment-critical factor, however, is the activation. This is because all nuts taste bitter "on purpose" to protect themselves from being eaten by animals and humans. When the nuts begin to germinate, however, they drop these chemical defenses. 2DiE4 takes advantage of this fact. The nuts are soaked in a sea salt solution for several hours. This starts the germination process and the bitter substances disappear. The nuts are then placed in the drying oven, where they are dried at a maximum air temperature of 65 °C - enzymes, proteins and nutrients are retained. Those who have not yet tried the activated nuts might be inclined to compare them to conventional nuts, as they look similar. However, nothing could be further from the truth.
