MAGAZIN and QWSTION put their heads together and think about a bag! The ZIP TOTE is the result of this collaboration between the two brands. Created with the main idea to create a bag as universal as possible, made of good materials, robust, useful, at a comprehensible price and for everyday use. The bag is a classic tote bag - called "tote" - to close with a metal zipper and comfortable to carry on long handles. It is the bag for every day, to be used as a shopping bag, for the laptop and other work material, convincing in its simplicity and beautiful, clearly readable design and workmanship. Equipped with pockets for utensils, smartphone and glasses case, as well as another zippered interior pocket. The durable and thanks to vegetable wax coating waterproof Bananatex® material, made from naturally grown banana fibers - ages well and develops a beautiful patina. The original idea of the bag works - it quickly becomes a valued everyday companion.

Bags are either chic or practical, elegant or functional. Only rarely are they both - unless they come from QWSTION. The small company with great motivation to challenge the usual norms focuses on design for functional luggage in all situations - from long journeys to everyday mobility.

Behind QWSTION is a team of dedicated specialists led by Swiss industrial designer Christian Kaegi. It all started with a piece of luggage that was to be more functional than a classic leather bag and more elegant than a sports backpack, robust and hard-wearing on the one hand and made from natural materials on the other.

Characterized by Swiss design, the QWSTION team in Zurich develops timeless designs with practical details - and with impressive precision. For example, every bag is also a rucksack - and vice versa. The wide fabric straps are characteristic. They form the structure of the bags - elaborately and robustly sewn - in almost all parts of the range. Thanks to the hard-wearing outer material and many practical features, they are perfect everyday companions.

QWSTION makes no compromises when it comes to the choice of materials. The Swiss company uses organic cotton and recycled materials that are processed to the highest standards. The most important production partner is a small factory in the city of Huizhou outside Hong Kong, which is BSCI (Business and Social Compliance Initiative) certified. The EU initiative aims to implement European standards with regard to working conditions and ecological aspects in non-EU countries. Alternatively, the manufacturer has been launching its own textile on the market for some time: Bananatex® is the world's first technical fabric made from banana plant fibers, which is now being used for the first time in the company's own bag collection. Because QWSTION is a variation on the English word "question", the Swiss question the established and established. The dedicated team conducted intensive material research for over three years. The abaca banana plant is cultivated in the Philippine highlands. As a natural alternative to synthetic, petroleum-based textiles, the in-house development is not only ecological and economical, but also very robust and durable, light and flexible, with a finely textured feel. Regardless of the base material, a layer of beeswax makes the fabrics used water-repellent and hard-wearing. With use, QWSTION bags develop a beautiful patina.
