The knit is fulled in a complex finishing process involving heat, moisture, and friction. This makes it denser and therefore warmer. Yet it remains—and this is the difference between fulled knits and fulled woven fabrics—breathable and very elastic. The lining is made of pure viscose, which makes the jacket easy to put on and take off and ensures a soft feel against the skin. The relaxed fit with dropped shoulders further enhances comfort. The jacket’s vibrant, expressive look comes from the interplay between the characteristic surface texture of the fulled fabric and the striking windowpane check, while the elastic band at the back hem adds a sporty touch. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
