In Marienpark on the site of the former gasworks in southern Berlin, Dörrwerk has been active since the end of 2015. Zubin Farahani's manufactory has set itself the task of producing enjoyable, natural snacks based on the many fruits and vegetables that are otherwise destroyed as unsaleable due to visual defects. Farahani is convinced that every fruit is beautiful. He therefore buys fruits and vegetables with small "flaws" directly from farmers or wholesalers at fair prices and processes them with a lot of time, by hand and completely free of additives. The Dörrwerks medium-term goal is to save as much fruit and vegetables as possible so that the quantity has an impact on the market, thus raising awareness of the issue - in terms of culinary value, the products deserve this attention anyway.
